The Town of Wasaga Beach is giving more time to seasonal property owners that need to bring their buildings into compliance.
Last March, Wasaga Beach Council decided to give owners a period of six months to either return their properties to seasonal only rental use or apply for a zoning by-law amendment that will allow permanent year round residents.
Yesterday, the deadline was extended due May 31st, 2013 so that the council can find a way to deal with the costs and processes involved in making zoning changes.
The by-law department reported that only a third of the properties have gone through the procedure.
